Charee Monroy has appeared Off-Broadway in From the Fire, created by Liz Swados, directed by Cecilia Rubino. She has also appeared in a number of new works, including Amalia Oliva Rojas’ Dandelions, I Would Die 4 U and Waves, as well as Theo Iyer’s 100 Aker Woods, and 100 Aker Woods reading, directed by Spencer Whales. Other roles include Pompey in Measure for Measure (Stella Adler) and Ida Bolton in Morning’s at Seven (Stella Adler). She has appeared as a Supernumerary in The Metropolitan Opera ‘s production of Das Rheingold as a Nibelungen.
Charee Monroy recently completed studying with Philippe Gaulier at Ecole Philippe Gaulier, which included Clown, Characters, and Bouffon. Past training includes clowning with Christopher Bayes, Viewpoints with Mary Overlie, and NYU Tisch School of the Arts: Stella Studio of Acting. She was proudly a part of Freestyle Love Supreme Academy’s Foundation of Freestyle. Currently, Charee Monroy is studying aerial silks and tumbling at The Muse Brooklyn.
Special skills include freestyle, horseback riding: english, western, and bareback, as well as skateboarding, aerial silks, percussion, and tumbling.
